Meet the Tennis Staff
Manager/Director of Tennis - Fred Schwan USPTA/USPTR Teaching Professional has over 35 years experience. A German National, Fred came to the U.S. (the great state of KY) in 1977 at the age of 12. He started his playing and teaching career at age 15 and attained a boys 18's #7 Singles and #3 Doubles Ranking. Fred moved on to pursue his education at Campbellsville University in KY as the #1 Player capturing the KIAC Singles Championship 1984-1986. He also competed at the NAIA National Championships in 1986. During the 80 & 90's, Fred played throughout the US, Mexico and the Caribbean winning numerous Singles and Doubles Titles.

From 1999 to October 2014, Fred has called Western Pennsylvania home. For over 15 years he was the Director of Tennis of the prestigious private club, Rolling Rock in Laughlintown, PA. Fred also held the position as General Manager of Tennis and Golf at North Fork Country Club in Johnstown, PA simultaneously for nearly 20 years in total.
In 2014, after many long winters in Pennsylvania and since his entire family lives in Volusia County...his calling was to bring his hard-working winning attitude to Florida and live best years of his life surrounded by his two loves - TENNIS and his FAMILY.
Fred possesses boundless energy and a hearty (and funny) spirit that inspires players of all ages and abilities. He is much admired and praised for blending his expertise and his love of the game to make tennis fun for everyone.
He has had success teaching players of all skill levels and ages - from beginners to USTA national competitors.

Fred's best friend and wife Lynnie, can be found at the club on the weekends grilling up hot dogs and serving salad and treats for players every Sunday. Lynnie has a passion for making you feel at home and cooks for everyone at all of our tennis tournaments.
Shawn the Great - Our helping hand, groundskeeper and court master of keeping the weeds away....Shawn has been with us since we opened and works hard to keep the club looking its best. We just love and appreciate Shawn everyday.

The PRO's - Mike Diez, USPTR Certified Instructor and Jack Martel, Assistant Pro, are focused on developing our Juniors program. Both Mike and Jack have a love for children and bring a wealth of combined expertise along with making it fun for kids!
We are blessed to have Mike and Jack as a big part of building our tennis family.
